Default Add a Center Console??

Just picked up a 2004 GX470. My only complaint is the lack of a center console to rest my arm on. I've searched the forum but didn't see anyone with a solution. Has anyone tried one of these? Found it on JC Whitney website. Comes in black or grey.

I would love something like that myself but if it's not OEM Lexus, I'll pass. Wouldn't want to mess up the nice look of the interior with anything that might not match perfectly.

I hear ya. I don't want to make the GX look cheap. Not sure what options, if any are available. I know the LX 470 has a console. Has anyone tried putting one in a GX?? Maybe remove the armrests.

You can always try to source one from a Landcruiser Prado...

"a center console to rest my arm on"

Why do you not like the center arm rests?

I would be interested in getting one from the Prado. I wonder if one of our sponsors could see about getting these for us

The fold down armreat are too narrow and too close to the seat.

I don't like the arm rests either. Too narrow and not long enough!

I might be interested in a center console as well. The only problem I see is the removal of the existing arm rests if one does go with a center console. I couldn't figure out how to remove them when thinking about swapping out with '09 GX's that looked a little bigger. Also, it would surely leave some kind of a whole in the leather seat when taken out wouldn't it?

Can anyone verify the '09 arm rests are bigger, because I
don't notice any enlargement on my '09 vs my previous '04.
