Default cold air intake

i know that the gx and the 4runner are similar so does anybody know if a 4runner cold air intake will fit a gx? if so, are there any mods that have to be done?

I am pretty sure it would work, but would would definately have to remove or at least modify the pretty little plastic engine covers.

I say go for it and give us a review. A before and after dyno would also be great, but probably asking a little much.

FWIW, it looks like our intakes pull air from the fender, which is "cold air". I'm sure you can find an intake w/a cone filter, but in 95% of the cases they're pulling warmer air than stock and they actually lose power. They sound cool, though.

I'm generalizing, but just wanted to throw the fact that we already have a "cold air intake" out there.
