Just got my used 04 GX470 and the when I press the disc button to play a CD it says "external system not connected". Does anyone know what it can be and most importantly what I can do to fix it. Really don't want to have to go to the dealer.

 

sounds like the cd changer is not properly connected to the head unit........you can remove the changer it's not difficult to do.
