Has anyone been having problems with the rear camera not engaging or not showing a picture at times when the car is put in reverse?

 

Yes, about a month ago. Dealer ordered a new one and installed under waranty.

I did but only for about three days. I had it sceduled for service but it started working again. It has been fine since.

 

Had mine replaced under warranty a couple of months ago too.

 

When I took my truck in to Lexus to complain about the rear view camera, the Service Guy said, "yea, they're going out". My truck is exactly 3 years old.

Mine is exactly three years old too...must be the life of the camera

 

Mine shows only a black screen with the warning message. I am just out of warranty. $750 to get replaced? No thank you. Aftermarket stuff can be had for like $150.

Anybody have a solution for a cheaper replacement?

That's bad news about being out of warranty. Makes the purchase of an extended warranty much more attractive.
