Someone hit into my driver's side side view mirror, most likely by another truck's side view mirror. The mirror assembly is intact. The question is ..... How difficult is it to replace the mirror and how?
that's super easy, pull off the cover on the inside and go happy with a screwdriver it's pretty self-explanitory.
If you have a FSM, it's all laid out step by step. You sould buy one anyway if you like to do things yourself.

Just pulling off the cover on the inside of the door behind the mirror isn't enough. But to disconnect the wiring harness for the mirror, you also have to remove the entire door panel, armrest, handle escutcheon, etc. Its easy to do, but get the service manual first or get a day pass from techinfo. Makes the R&R much easier.
Just ordered the mirror. 105 bucks. $40 install. I really don't feel loke taking the door apart.
Thanks for your help anyway
$105.00 for a brand new complete side view mirror assembly???
That $105.00 price sounds like it only covers just the mirror glass itself, and not the entire housing, mirror and wiring harness. Check and make sure.
