CD track direct access
Is there a way to jump straight to a track on the CD using the touchscreen (ie. entering track number)? I have not been able to figure out a way. In fact, the touchscreen does not even appear to allow you to skip to the next/previous track. I've been doing this from the steering wheel controls.
There's got to be a way. It's such a basic function of any CD player. Anyone know how?

Cowabunga,
If you hit the RIGHT most button (AUDIO), you should see the controls for the CD player, sorry not sure right now, as the GX is parked in the garage...
Not too sure about the direct access though...

Cowabunga,
I stand corrected there are NO play/stop nor PAUSE button on this player, there are however the following buttons on the dash and streeing wheel:
a track, seek up/down (steering wheel as well), and next/previous disk changer option (steering wheel as well)

Thanks for confirming. I wanted to make sure there wasn't something hidden somewhere that I did not know of. I cannot imagine why they would have a CD player without the basic control buttons...
For now, I just use the steering wheel controls to forward/reverse to the track I want. Bummer.

Although I am not a big fan of the outdated CD changer/player on the GX, I don't remember having a vehicle with a direct access to the CD track number. Like most of the portable players you can only go up or down - probably less distracting than putting in a number while driving.
Mostly I use the steering wheel controls. If you keep your finger on the track arrow it will change the disc instead of the track.

The last gen Mercedes ML had it. Not sure if the new model continued with this. I always thought it was a normal feature to have given you have a whole touch screen to play with. But granted, I have only had it on my previous ML.

The control that is on EVERY CD Player of any sort, except in cars, that I don't understand is the Pause button (and corollary the Stop button).
I just don't understand why it's not provided. There are times I need the sound off for some time (30 seconds to 10 minutes), a mute doesn't cut it, as then I have to back up to get back to the tracks I've missed.
Has always seemed weird to me (not a Lexus only issue).
