what is KDSS? also how do i tell if i have mark levinson stereo system, and if i do what are the benfits?

KDSS is Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, it helps to reduce body row and handling. The Mark levinson system comes with the navigation system as a package, if you have a navigation system, then you have the Mark levinson system. The Mark levinson system on Lexus is probably one of best factory stereo system on the market, although the standard pioneer system system is not too bad either.

 

Also, there's the "mark levinson" logo on the speaker grill from the front doors.

 

hmmmmmmmm i don't think i have those logos, but i do have navigation on my 04. hmmm i'll have to look.

how do i know if i have or don't have KDSS?

If you have Golden bird eye maple trim then you don't have KDSS. it only come in a sport package which have the black bird's eye maple trim and Smoke bezel headlamps and fog lamps. Your wheel will come with dark Griphite finish instead of silver. and Your roof rack will come in graphite finish instead of body colored.

KDSS also come as a option with out the sport package but very rarely. Only if you order it straight from the factory.

I went to 5 Lexus dealership wanting KDSS but without the Black trim (Sport Package) and the all the sale man told me it's impossible to fine one unless I ordered from the factory.

If you have factory NAV than you have ML 14spkers system. Check if you have a center speaker on your dash and a subwoofer on the right side panel by the 3rd roll seat.

If not you have the regular 11 speaker system. I don't see why you wouldn't have a ML 14spkers system if you have factory NAV.
