The EEC will learn the new airflow via the closed loop control system so no need to disconnect the battery. If you do a reset by a disconnect then it has to relearn everything anyhow so you really haven't helped yourself.

As for a K&N dirtying the MAF, that will only happen if they are over oiled. Have used them on drag cars for 10 years and that is the only time I have had an issue.

****UPDATE****
after a few days with this filter installed, i hit 20 avg mpg on the highway!!!!! Note: this is with
265/70/17.
not even with the factory sized tires was i able to do 20 avg mpg.

went for a test drive and the first thing i noticed was the acceleration. there is a definite increase in power.
best $40.00 i've spent.

here's a link where i bought the filter from (video is there too, definitely worth watching)

The main difference should be mileage gain, but you will feel a little performance boost.

I was on ebay a week ago and searched for the true flow. I found one offered at $19.99 with $10 shipping, no bidders. I added it to my watch list and put a bid in at the last second. I was the only bidder. : )

I put it on today, but haven't driven it yet. I'm curious to see how it is. Getting giddy just thinking about it.

Drove the car and it's definitely different. I like! I like!

If anyone wants to purchase, I can give you the seller's name from ebay. He mentioned on his feedback to me to go to him at anytime so I'm sure you guys can get the same pricing as I did.
