Default Drivers Side Mirror Question

I just picked up a new 05 GX today and love it. However, with only a 140 miles on it, maybe I'm just not used to the vehicle yet but the drivers sideview mirror seems to have a distortion in it. Like it makes the vehicles in the mirror look kind of flatter than they should be. The inside rearview mirror works fine.
Has anyone else noticed this on their GX? Thanks

Default Distortion

I noticed this as well when I first started driving the car. I noticed that the image seemed slightly off and distorted. Not sure why.

It could be the built in LCD dimmers? It takes getting used to, if you are not familiar with them.

The side mirrors on the GX don't dim, so that can't be it.

Anyone else notice that the drivers side rearview mirror makes vehicles look wider than they really are?

I took another 05 GX and an 05 4Runner out for a test ride and both of them have the same distortion as my 05 GX has, so it must be the way Toyota designed the mirror.
