Yes, I had the hand painted pinstripes (2 lines- grey and beige color) done by the dealer before delivery for $295 (on sale during Memorial weekend), normal pricing was $495.
I do think it looks nice on my Silver GX coz it accents the exterior.

I also had mine pinstriped. The 2-line stripe was hand painted as well and only cost me $295. I was hesitant at first but am really glad I did it! One stripe is ivory/beige to bring the interior color outside and the other is an aquamarine color which really looks nice.
Thanks !! Guys for your replies.
I'm going to go to the Dealer and ask what day of the week the Striper comes to the Dealership.
My experience is that you get a better deal, dealing directly with the Striper.
Same goes with the folks that do the Gold Plating.

I purchased gold foil tape at Pep Boys and did it myself. It looks great on the blizzard pearl. I did the same thing with my 1999 RX. When I sold it three years later the tape had not faded nor deteriorated in any way.
Total cost:
1 Hour
4 bucks

That's a bit flashy for me. I like a more subtle appearance. One where it doesn't stand out, but looks pleasing when you notice it.
I had my wife's ES300 striped a few years ago and it looks very nice.

I understand.
I like the foil the way I like chrome rims. Here's a photo of my GX from a distance. As you can see, the pinstripe doesn't stand out as it appears in the close-up photo. You may also notice the two "buttons" on the front bumper. Before I could get to him, my dealer drilled holes to mount the front license tags, which I don't need. I purchased the buttons at Pep Boys. They are in the decorative tag frame section. This was the lesser of four evils, the other three being: keeping the tags, ignoring the holes and having the holes fixed. Nobody notices the buttons and they serve to optically fill in that huge flat spot on the bumper. I didn't want the gold kit from Lexus because it's too much, so I highlighted the gold in the paint by exchanging for free with the dealer the silver logo hub caps for gold ones; applying the gold tape stripes, using the buttons on the front and the chrome and gold hitch cover in the rear. For me, it's a nice balance between a touch of gold highlights and too much. No accounting for taste, hey?
For whatever reason I have good luck with applying tape striping. I get frequent compliments and questions about what professional did it. Everything is in the technique.
An advantage to the tape is you can remove it if you don't like it.

Not for me. I think pinstriping would take away from some of the "smoothness" of the natural lines of this truck. Although I never was a fan of pinstripes on a car, I thought they looked more appropriate on vehicles that were "angular" in design. To me, vehicles that have a smoothness and flow to their lines, like those made by Lexus, don't need that type of accentuation.

Leslie.....
Let me tell you, on the '97 ES which is still in the family, the pinstriping is very nice. Just blends beautifully on the white finish. I like pinstriping that you don't notice at first blush, but when you do notice it, it blends nicely.
