Who scratched it, how bad is it, is it very visible or just something you know is their will it be scratched again, lastly blame the dealer and have them replace it.

All new cars tend to get minor damage, I guess it's the initiation into the family, my 4Runner I accidentally dented with it's help and the ES I scratched with the snow blower, but both have remained relatively damage free since the fist scare

How much for replacing the glove box?

If the car is leased, you have to pay for the scratches sooner or later.
If you own the car, I am sure that the scratches will reduce the resale value anyway.
So, replace it asap so that you can enjoy your GX again.

See what a glove box cost, you need to remove it when the AC filter needs to be replaced, if you can change the oil, not that you do but you could then you can replace the glove box.

Then sell the old 1 on ebay in slightly new condition

I think I would replace it if the scratch bothered me, but then again it could be a 600 dollar glove box you know how Lexus likes to price stuff

If I were a perfectionist I would replace it. Additionally, if I were a perfectionist I would review my posts prior to putting them on the internet with glaring spelling an grammatical errors throughout.

I am guessing you're not a perfectionist.

Don't you mean "with glaring spelling AND grammatical errors throughout."?

I'm guessing you're not a perfectionist either.

Nice post, jackass.

I haven't really looked into this option, but thinking out loud: if the dealer wants toooooo much, how about "re-upholster it" ? See what an upholstery place charge?
And if you're going to keep getting propanes in the front seat, you might need some protection there in the future

Vinyl/or some similar material is shaped and wrapped around it, just like the dash/center console.
