Default Voice Command Learning???

Does the Lexus Nav has voice command learning feature?

The nav does not understand my commands very well. I want to program it using my voice.

Sorry I don't think Lexus has Voice Command Learning on any of its cars...
...best just memorize the commands you like to use!

... and learn to speak with a Lexus accent. I'm not sure what that sounds like as before I gave up on this worthless feature it would take me 3 or 4 tries to get it to understand -- and that was on a good day. If I could remap that button on the steering wheel to another function I'd do it.

"POI Off"... "Showing Coffee House icons"
"POI Off"... "Showing Police Station icons"
"POI Off"... "Setting temperature to 80 degrees""

The voice activation on an RX 330 is pretty lame as well. The only thing that works half-way well is when I get frustrated and say "f*ck you" it usually hears FM2 and puts the radio on FM2.

That's a good one. My favorite one is to tell it "Bordello" and have it result in "Showing Court Houses".

Do you guys have deep voice like me? Because I can only get her to understand 4 out of 10 times and my GF gets her to understand almost everytime, maybe it is a girl thing.

I do have a deep voice. It's funny, too that you refer to the system as "her." I call her Alice. Alice tells me where to go. My friend's 13 year old thought I should call her Sarah, after Sarah the operator from the Andy Griffith Show.

Default Quiet helps

I had to laugh that everyone is having the same issues as me. I don't even know why I bother anymore. I have found it is more accurate when the fan is off, radio is off and I am moving slowly. Which of course is never.

Default Just wondering ???

I read in one of the very EARLY threads regarding VOICE naviagation that the "system" somehow "speaks" the commands out to you to let you know how it is supposed to be pronounced???

Has this option gone away with the new '05 models, because I spent hours over the weekend trying figure this out... If anyone knows how this is accomplished, could you please pass on this great nugget of knowledge, please?

Also, I was wondering if this is "printed" list of ALL of the available VOICE commands, you know in my spare time, I'd like to practice my lexus-lingo to get the voice navigation to work 100% or someone "pinch" me please and tell me it's all a pipe dream??!??

It is all in the tone. I always get the system to work 99% accuracy but my dad cannot ever get it to work. You have to say it with confidence. Imagine if in some movie a pilot was telling a copilot "Left Engine to full throttle" and then transplant that feeling into "CD Changer" or "Go home".

"Athena" listens to my voice best when I am confident in my voice/choice, girls like guys that have their minds made up.

By the way, I had an experience when I was on a road trip and said "I gotta take a $#!t" and gas stations came up; perfect match! Also try: "Photon torpedos"; I always get "Toyota dealerships" so I guess she is implying Toyota has the parts I need to install photon torpedos.
