Does it look like a fully opened moonroof?
When fully open, I have about a handwidth (all 5 fingers palm down) of glass showing from the front edge of the glass to the roof edge opening. The inside cover will slide back to the handle indent, but glass is visible looking up from the drivers seat.

My moonroof opens more then that, the handle on the sunshade if that what it call go all the way to the end, if it went back anymore the handle would slip into the roof, between.
Do you have a roof mounted DVD player, maybe when they install that the moonroof is reprogramed not to hit some mounting bolts

This is how far mine opens. I do not have the screen in the ceiling.
