Default rear view camera

Hi, I'm looking at the new GX and wanted to get other opinions on the rear view camera. The local dealer didn't have one for me to see and I wanted to know if it's really worth it.

Does it give you a good perception and viewing area behind you?

Is it narrow?

I assume the viewing is on the NAV screen. Is that correct?

If anyone has any comments, then please let me know.

Thanks
Jim

thanks. I wish people in the dealership could explain this stuff. They barely know anything about the cars options. They even had to look online if it came with the headsets for the DVD.

thats **** poor. I would go to another dealer.
As I have stated before, not one "local" dealer could come close to the price I got in Florida. It was worth every penny to go down there. Besides, any chance to get out of this stupid weather is fine by me.

Nope. Went down to get it, and drove it back. Did all the dealing and paperwork via phone and fedex.

yea, I agree. Northeast dealers don't sell the volumes to be able to bargin. I've tried other dealers in the area and they are all bad. Most never call back. At first they tried to sell me somekind of 3rd party extended warranty over the lexus platinum 7 yr at the same price. I later found out they get higher commission for the 3rd party warranty.

Not one "extra" was rammed down my throat at this dealer in Fl. The entire delivery took 15 min.

I even showed my local dealer, who I had purchased an RX from in 2000, the deal, and asked them if they would match it. They said no. Oh well, the business goes elsewhere.

If you would like the name of the dealer, just ask. They even have real time online inventory.
