I need help guys.

Absolutely no sound. Not only radio/CD, but also no sound from navigation. The truck does not even beep when you turn ignition to ON.

Fuses checked out OK. In diagnosis mode it shows everything OK. Navigation set up voice is ON.

The touch screen controls for climate and navigation work fine. When I turn on radio I can see radio stations showing up. When I turn on CD I can hear CD player turning the disc.

Has anyone experienced this?

Never experienced this, but the nav voice goes through the amplifier. I would start there.

It turns out that no chimes when ignition is turned to ON is a separate issue. I cleaned the battery terminals and the chimes came back. Now it seems likely an amplifier problem. Might have to send the amplifier out for repair.

Low battery (whether caused by cruddy terminals or the normal reason) will cause all sorts of strange computer problems (and the amplifier is on the CAN bus, so it counts as a computer).

Since you're in Illinois (one of the lands of ice & salt), I would also check your ground straps and the other end of the battery wires to make sure they are good.

Yes. Mark Levinson system. I had the situation where the sound would go out after the car ran for a while and then reset if I restarted it however for increasingly shorter durations until it just stopped working. I picked up a used amp with the same part number. I did change out the cooling fans in the "new to me" amp as they are readily available and not expensive, and overheating is one of the possible reasons for failure. HTH Kevin

Update. Got my amplifier tested OK. It looks the culprit is the radio. Was told by a repair technician if you touch the SCAN button the radio keeps hunting stations and never stops, that is a symptom of a bad radio. Bought a used unit with display and returned it as it did the same thing. Currently waiting for another used radio. If that does not work, will send the radio for repair.

Looking back the radio test should have been the first step as it is a quick and zero cost check, before everything else.

Separately, replaced the GPS unit and now the GPS works although no voice guides.
