A few days ago, I was playing music through my phone via aux and the volume suddenly stopped working, and the ‘volume’ doesn’t increase or decrease when I turn the dial. After restarting the car, disconnecting the battery- it still doesn’t work. When I start the car, the navigation caution page pops up, and all of the radio functions work. I can cycle the type of radio, pull up the navigation and climate- but none of it makes sound. This applies to pressing the side buttons adjacent to the screen as well. This happened previously, but it fixed itself after the car was off for around an hour.

 

Probably the amp is on its way out.

So the radio and/or CD player don't work?

 

I believe that the main amp in trunk is shot. It's fairly common for the pre '13 cars.
