I have a 2008 RX400h with 185,000 miles. I recently fixed the frozen shift cable connection to the lever on the transmission and replaced the range sensor neutral switch. Car starts now and goes into gear but the rear wheels are locked…I think due to the differential. When I jack up the car and put the car in neutral, neither rear wheel will turn but there is about 1/2 inch of play in them. With the front jacked up, the engine turns the front wheels when in drive or reverse. I wanted to get some ideas before I take to the mechanic. BTW, it has nothing to due with the parking brake as I ruled that out.
