Default GX470 maximum wheel offset

I’ve seen many posts on here indicated i can put newer (2022) 4Runner 265 70 17 rims on my Lexus without issues. The offset difference is 10 to 12 mm (i.e. up to 1/2”) bringing the wheel in by that distance. It looks pretty tight back there even with the stock rims so I just want to make sure that there will be no interference with the brake calipers either front and back before i buy the new 4 Runner wheels. Any comment much appreciated.

I've been using old 4runner wheels for my winter tires for years...offset is 10mm difference...never had a problem...but...I am using stock tire size 265/65-17 which would make the diameter smaller by about an inch

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I’m aware of the 1” overall diameter difference and don’t expect any issues in that respect as corroborated by others on this blog.
