Hello!

I have been searching on the forums for potential causes for this annoying squeak/metal clinking noise coming from the driver side dash/steering assembly. The sound only activates past 30 mph and gets agitated over bumps in the road. I've posted a video of the noise and am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to what is at fault? Key chain tapping the dash or hitting the key reason ring?

I was hoping that would be the case but I made sure nothing obvious was causing the noise (keys, items in cup holders or in door storage). Ive isolated the sound coming from the dash, steering column, or steering wheel. It almost sounds like a bolt or washer is loose and hitting against another metal object. Any other thoughts?

 

Seems like one of those things thats almost impossible to figure out without ripping it apart. I dont have a good suggestion besides that.

 

Any chance you solved or found the source of the Squeak? I have the exact same one and it is driving me nuts!!
