Thumbs up My first Thread! DIY Headlight and taillight tint only $5!!

Ok guys the tint you will want to use is vinal tint, not regular window tint. The vinal tint is good for the exterior of the car.

You can get a 12 inch by 12 inch roll of tint on ebay for $4.99 with free shipping! Click here

I did my fog lights yellow and as you can see I am going to tint the center taillights, I think I need to make it a lot darker.....

Before

Cut to size..

Spray soapy water on tail light..

Unrap tint. Make sure you dont get any lint on it!

Put on even..

Cut off extra tint... But make sure you leave some extra so you can wrap it around the back

Use your hair dryer and start drying one end and work your way around taking all bubbles out.

If you are doing trunk lid taillights from a 98 to 05 Gs300 take off this weather stripping... I left it on and it looked likr crap when I put the finished product on...

I am not to happy with the shade of tint I got I want it 10 times blacker!! Its cool it was only $5!

Let me know what you think about my first thread!

Doesn't look too bad, but I think you should have made it a deeper red.

Deep red looks bad *** on any color.

Black tinted tails are too common.

Yea I keep going out side and I really dont like the tint I did on the trunk... I might just shave the trunk lights.... Or I might just put some non tinted one's back on. I dont know why I have 3 sets of taillights right now!

Also I NEED COILOVERS!!!!

Looks good. Just FYI the tint usually on Ebay is a very thin tint usually like 3 mm and this does nothing to protect at all. The other stuff that cost lots more will take a 1" rock at 100 mph and not hurt anything. It is around 18-22mm. Just fyi and hey the car looks good!
