Venza 20x7.5 wheels on 2GS?
I have been contemplating what wheel to get and I think i finally found a style i'd like while maintaining OEM Toyota quality and nothing too flashy. Venza 20x7.5 5 Spoke wheels.
Here is the factory tire spec for the Venza 20"
I understand that most 20x7.5 wheels are made for FWD cars and might not be suitable for our RWD. Is it because RWD cars have higher curb weight?
Curb weight for Venza AWD V6... 4045 lbs
Curb weight for GS400... 3690 lbs
So, question is... from wheel experts... is it advisable to use Venza 20" wheels on my 2GS when the Venza 20x7.5 can clearly support heavier car then the 2GS?

::: not sure if this should be moved to the wheel forums... :::
Thanks in advance!
generally it isnt to say FWD wheels wont physically fit on a RWD car, its just theyre normally not much of an upgrade as far as width or offset goes, so they may be as sunken in as a stock wheel or worse. so they would purely be an aesthetic upgrade in regards to physical size

The Venza wheels are +35 offset (pls. double check-but im fairly sure)
Your main problem would be the tire sizing, and tire cost. I know most people who use 20" wheels (for cars) uses at least 8.5 width, which would look perfect with 245/30 or 35/20 tires. Like as previously mentioned, i think using 245 will look too fat (especially for low profile tires 30s or 35s). Im not sure if you can find 235/225 width tires for 20" wheels, BUT also check the price difference (you also have to consider the tire cost for a certain tire size otherwise it will cost you big time). IMO, i'd double check the price cost between 225/235/245 for 20s tires.

That's because 19"s suck as far as tire prices go. For some reason, most 19" tires cost as much as 20" or more.
