I dont have a 2DIN, but i do have (2) single DIN. Does that count?

Jut the typical setup that many diymobileaudio'ers run

 

clean. i ordered the eclipse avn50d w/ the oem double din kit.

now i worry if i can flush mount the double din by modifying the brackets.

 

You can flush almost every head unit (depending on the overall depth of the unit) by drilling new holes further back in the mounting brackets. I installed my Clarion without flushing it and it looked like caca. I couldn't even sleep that night, so I took it right back out and flushed it. This pic is before I tweaked the bracket slightly to get rid of some slight gaps... but you get the picture.

 

I have a 2003 Sport Design as well.

My eclipse HU is arriving on th 14th. I can't wait to install it.

I hope flush mounting the eclipse HU is an option.

This is not the greatest picture but you can see it sits flush. Slight modification done to the kit for a perfect fit.

 

TOTL_ECLPS - How much does the screen stick out from the dash kit? 1/4inch? I plan to flush mount mine. Please let me know.
