Default Curb rash

Hi all,

It was dark and I was careless and backed the car a bit too far and barely scraped the underside of the diffuser (near the exhaust tip) and the lower of the 2 stacked exhaust tips. What would you do? Let it go since is it only a cosmetic issue that can only be seen underneath the car or at least try to polish the scratch on the bottom of the exhaust tip? What would you polish the stainless steel tip with? Thanks for any input.

Haha that thought ran through my mind. Kinda pricey fix to this issue What exhaust system, type, or combo would produce no drone or the same as stock?

Toms axleback and Apexi resonated midpipe - zero drone.

Being in this forum I have read through posts about many exhaust setups. So are you saying the Toms and Apexi combo above is both needed for zero drone? How much is the cost of those 2 parts with installation? I really don’t mind the factory exhaust. It’s not too bad especially at 4K and above. The quad tips are nice but a slightly bigger diameter exhaust tips would look better and more aggressive.

You don’t need both for zero drone - I mentioned that combo as I think it’s a great step up from stock without being obnoxious and droning. I think if you replace just the axleback portion, most exhaust systems will have minimal or zero drone.

Toms axleback is $2500ish. Apexi also has an axleback system for $1500ish.

Personally, I think the OEM GSF exhaust sounds amazing.
The OEM tips are clamped on and can be removed.

You can replace the tips with any after-market tips you like. There are a few on eBay ranging from 3" to 4"

I agree with you on the factory exhaust note. Pretty good for OEM. Do you need any specialize tool to unclamp or re-clamp the tips on? I maybe I’ll just try to polish out the scratch or leave as-is since it’s not visible, unless under the car. Thanks for the tips info!!

I used both medium and fine brass wool, combined with a stainless steal cleaner / brasso combination. Tips came out great.
