Default aftermarket wheel size

I have questions for those that upgraded the wheels to 20's.

why 20s and not 19s?
how's the ride quality compared to oem 19's?
since the sidewall would have to be smaller probably a 30 series how do they do with bad roads?
would've you buy 20s again or 19s?

looking at a new set of forged wheels but unsure if I should do 19s or 20s

thanks

I would stay with 19’s if ride quality is a concern, especially when DD the car. 30 series tires on 20” wheels will be more harsh on an already stiff suspension, and just asking for more troubles on the road (potholes)

I too preferre 19", 20"do look good depending on wheel design, but I wouldn't sacrifice performance for style, my humble opinion

20s look great, but I've ridden in several cars with them and they ride much harsher. I plan to stick with 19s. Although the stock wheels looks so dang good, I am just keep them.

I would go 20s as I like the bigger wheel look, it's not even a bling thing anymore as it was in the 2000s, most luxury sports cars now come with oem 20s or even 21s...AMG, S Line, M etc....you just have to be careful where u drive. However, I would not swap out the oem 19s for aftermarket, the lexus 19s are strong, durable, and meant for the car. I really do wish the Fs and Fsports came with an oem 20 option.

just stick with 19s if this is your daily driver. I had custom D forged 20” wheels on my last GS, went to NYC and 2 of wheels got bend. I hit a pot hole hard and was stranded on the side of the road. I think I spend about 4k on those. No more I said to myself

The oem wheels are good quality, if you want to change them get a better better lighter wheel. I am a huge JDM fan, volks, rays etc are forged and as good as stock.

Personally? I think the harshness of the ride is dependant on tires.
20's have never compromised my ride quality.

If you decide to go lower profile on wheels, I would recommend not lowering your car

Let us know if we can help you with wheels in 19s!

Can check TE37 stock and get you custom wheels if you want that route as well.
