Default Lighter color or polished wheels

Hi everyone,

I was never a fan of dark wheels, but for the sake of keeping everything OEM, I haven't really touched my wheels yet.

I feel my white car would look so much better if I went a few shades lighter on my wheels, or perhaps go retro in polished silver altogether. I love the retro look.

Anyone here has done so to their stock wheels? Anyone can photoshop this?

I would do lighter, but that's me...I've always had chrome wheels, even though that era has passed, I have chrome 20s on my GS.

I feel when the wheel is dark, it takes away from the lines and actually looks smaller. Just my opinion, no disrespect on those with dark wheels.

That's true, I did that to my E39 M5 against everyone's advice, and the results were very good because my car was blue.

I was just hoping someone somewhere has refinished their OEM GSF wheels to a different color or shade.

Wish I could help. One of my random instagram followers powdercoated theirs but went darker. It looked good. If I can find the post I'll post it.

I actually think the stock wheels like you have look fantastic. I'm not a fan of the polished/painted ones where only 10 spokes are polished. Those look weird.

Very nice.
I may go with Polished Hyper Silver I think they will really give my white GSF a more aggressive look especially cause I'm running 20mm spacers and lowered.

Yes, I’m with you. I think the Polished Hyper Silver would be great.

@designo I see you went through with the hyper silver. How did you go about that? Powder coated? Plasti-dip? Wrapped?

No, I went to a proper Allow Wheel repair shop and had them completely repainted.
They also repaired curb rashes and did a balance check.
