Where is the sweet spot for buying a used GS-F (next two years)?
Hi all
Love the car, can't afford a new one. My question to all the owners / potential owners out there is where the sweet spot for this vehicle in the used mkt next two years (miles, yrs used)?
Is it tempermental at all? i.e. - can I buy used without a warranty?
Would be using this car as a 2nd/weekend vehicle (love V8s but most weekday driving is bumper to bumper misery)
Thanks in advance!

I'm in the same boat as you. Looking to buy but not in a hurry. I see the 2016's for mid to high 40's at the moment. I think that once the clean 2016's hit about 40 i'll jump into one, unless someone thinks that's unlikely to happen in the next year or so.

Since these cars were discounted so much new of MSRP, I feel like the car is already in the “sweet spot”. Iike the saying goes buy the newest you can afford. If you are waiting for higher mileage, that’s when the more expensive maintence start to happen, plugs, water pump, brakes. So in long run it will even out. So for reference, 1 yr ago, i bought my 2016 CPO for $54k with 6k miles. And if you can find a car with that low miles and CPO, I would think it would still go for 50’s.

So it wasn’t neccisarily a 20% discount, just that people were taking advantage of the rebate and negotiating another 5-10% on top of rebates. I don’t think 15-20k is possible today which is unfortunate.

We paid $66.1k on an $87k sticker in October of 2016 for brand new. If they'e still in the mid-$40k range, I think we made out big time.

Probably can get a GSF at high 70k range now. The 15-20k was possible in fall of 2017 when the rebate was 8k and at the same time there was the 5k rebate for attending track day. You could combine both.

I bought mine:
16 GSF CPO 58k with 5 years of Lexus bumper to bumper warranty with the 60k service done, new tires, new brakes and rotors and battery for $45,999. Car was the color combo I wanted and had an impeccable service record. Drives and looks like new. It even qualified at 2.99%.

Where did you purchase..the dealership near me wanted MSRP and said there getting it. Wanted 61.5k otd for a 16 with 14kmi. Wasn't even super clean...had chunks out of rims and tires on one side...and the gas cap cover wasn't sitting flush.
