I was in the same shoe, but my gf really liked it on the pictures and videos so I ordered one from Tom’s. It’s much better if you see it in person, no regrets from me. And if you won’t like it, it’s not a huge waste of $

There is always a cheaper route to mod your car, it depends on your budget and needs, but this one from Tom’s has quality feel, real CF when you touch it, not just "CF-like".. And if I own an almost $100k car (actually $118k in my country), I would happily spend more on a mod to get better quality. (it was $270 inc. shipping and taxes for me, I ordered it from Japan though)
I also got ceramic coating applied to my F, so just before the application I passed the CF sheet to the guys at the shop and they coated also the sheet. The atomic silver is a very practical color when it comes to cleaning your car. This summer we made a trip to France, so I drove the car 10 days long with no washing through bad weather & dust and even the blackish fender stickers were looking clean very long. (the pictures above were shot in Monaco after driving like 800 miles)
So all I want to say is my money was spent well on both of these CF fender sheets and the ceramic coating too.
Tom’s brand is legit, color matches better with stock carbon and quality is hands down. They are called JDM for a reason. Just my 2 cents, but everyone has a different opinion.
