Default Got the Intake Installed.

Got the AFe ( Takeda ) cone style Intake tube and box installed.
I did that for two reasons..

1. Sound
2. Looks

I did not expect any performance from this system, in fact.. i was expecting some loss in performance especially mid to top end. I speak from experience as I've done this on many cars before this one.

I am happy with the results, love the deep throaty sound the car makes when you step on it.

I don't feel I've lost power either. However, I have noticed throttle is more responsive initially... almost feels like I've installed a throttle controller.

A video of the system being installed. I'll post some more videos shortly.

I've installed a cone filter on a previous car and loved the throatier induction noise! Can this be replicated with a performance drop in filter? Or does it need to be a cone type filter?

Cone type only. If you look closely at the video, you will notice that I had previously installed a BMC high flow drop in filter.

Sound? YES, much throatier sound under throttle and when valves open up at 5k rpm.
Performance? I feel I've lost top end power. But then again, ambient air temperatures in my country right now are in the 120'sF. Once the weather cools down, I should gain performance. We will see.

^^Yep. Besides, intakes are easy to remove before taking car in for service.
