Default Apexi throttle

So I'm looking for someone with a GSF that's installed the Apexi throttle control for some feedback. Is it worth buying, is it that noticeable, and etc..

I had one I installed in a 2013 IS-F. To be honest, I used it at first and then as the days went by....I never messed with it.

I just bought a GSF (pick it up Tuesday) The the four modes it comes with seems to be plenty good. I personally wouldn't waste your time. But of course, that's just my opinion.

You should ask all the RCF guys that have this. They all seem to love it.

Just was reading what the RC-F guys was saying...they seem to think it's a worthy mod. Wonder if any GS-F owners have already done it?

Yes our GSF has it.

Yes, our GSF also has this, by RR-Racing.

I have the Apexi Throttle controller installed and absolutely think it's a must mod for the GSF.

There is definitely pedal lag in the GSF even after the fuel pump TSB fix and the cost and installation of a tune compared to $140 is a BIG difference.

I have no issues with having to press the Apexi button every key cycle since it's installed right next to the ASC button which I turn off as well. I leave it in Purple mode, ASC off, Sport mode, Slalom EVERY key cycle and makes a huge difference coming off the line at stop lights, passing cars, etc. Even in Normal mode and Apexi in Purple, it makes the car really feel more attuned to light acceleration all the way thru wot.

I would highly recommend this easy and affordable mod.

I hit sport mode and ASC off every time I get in the GS F. Sucks I have to hit two buttons when I only hit one in my IS F.

Seriously, when I first heard ASC, I was "WTF is that?" "Why does my V8 sound so sick now?"

Not a fan of the hinge at the floor throttle either. Feels weird and I have to reposition my foot for good control.

I have the Apexi throttle controller since I had the GSF, it is a cheap mod that you can instantly feel when you press on the accelerator. It does not add hp but it definitely makes the car feel responsive coming from a full stop. I wasn't so sure about it at first, but reading the RCF guys experience, I have to give it a try and they were right about it. I'm only using red and purple since I had it.

Have had it on my RC F since last spring and no regrets. I leave it in "Purple" mode which is the second most aggressive selection. All modes work "on top" of the Lexus Drive Select Modes and not replaces them. You can shut it off anytime by holding it down for 2 secs.

Overall, I like the crisp throttle response and "perceived snappier" launch and all the different modes (mappings). See below. Good luck in your decision!

I have a Sprint Booster throttle controller left over from my IS350 FSport and have not decided if or not to install it in my GSF. It was definitely a must have gadget for the IS350; absolutely hated the car with out it. It has 3 settings off, sport, and hair trigger Seriously, it is a set and forget item as you can choose your mode you and it remembers the last used. You can even remove the selector switch choose you setting. The best part is that it made the shift smarter. Sprint Booster now has almost infinitely adjustable version with pedal lock and valet mode.

Does it come with the correct harness when you buy the Aexi unit or do we need to buy an additional harness for the GSF? I have seen a lot of comments about getting the right harness.

Yes the Sprint Booster connector is part of the body of the unit. The only harness is the on/off switch which you need not install if you want to set it and forget it. Very clean and simple. about the size of a book of matches.

What are the part numbers you need for the harness and head unit for GSF?
