The is a guy on YouTube (The oil guy?) who does some deep tests on oils and he was impressed with the Valvoline Restore and Protect performance. The oil isn't much of a factor as long as you change is AT LEAST every 5k (3-4k for lots of stop and go driving) if you want your engine to last beyond 200k miles. Every 10k and your cylinders will get worm from debris 170k-220k (watch a few The Car Car Nut replacing engine blocks from is). The oil can last 10k, but debris will cause the wear.

I have over 220k miles on my IS F. It has had OCIs up to and including 14k miles while being driven at HPDEs. I have posted my used oil analysis for the entire life of the engine here on Club Lexus. There is zero data to support these assertions for either of my 2UR engines, and in fact, I replaced all the timing chains in my IS F because the tensioner was bad on one chain and I had heard these chains can wear out at less than 200k miles. None of the four chains were even close to factory limits for wear. So, I'm really not buying this argument based on my own results.
GS F results are here:

All that said, I have returned to 5k OCIs on the IS F and have always done 5k on the GS F because I intend to keep these cars a very long time and I don't baby them when I drive them except to make sure they don't get hard use before the oil is warmed up.
