Also, i did not realize these need to be programmed before installing them in the tires? Can the sensors be programmed after installation in the tires? ( i dont have the ID's, will any tool read the IDs?)
Thanks
Pretty sure those won’t work. You should order the Denso sensor

Default Non OEM sensors

I have A-performance TPMS sensors on my winter wheels but I utilized a scan tool and tpms scan tool to get my GSF to recognize the sensors and to display the pressure readout in the car display. No sensors are plug n play because you have to tell the car the ID of the sensor for it to start monitoring it. The sensors came preprogrammed to work for lexus/Toyota but still has to use a scan tool to scan the aftermarket senors not reprogram them. Reprogramming tpms sensors is a whole other animal.

Hi , I am trying to scan them using a scan tool , TP150, but I dont see any signal from them at all. Like not recognized. Can this be done after it is installed in the tires? OR should it be done before the installation with sensors in hand?

When you turn on the tool go into the settings to read the sensor and press the WiFi button when you in scan mode. It should have a display of the car on the screen and starting with the driver side front tire , the. Passenger front, pass rear, driver rear and spare of applicable. After you done this an the scan tool says your are finished and saves do the relearn process in the lexus car menu. Drive for a few minutes and it should be able to populate the pressure in the menu

Did you end up buying the correct sensor?

The tool is not able to detect the sensor. When I go to selecting the car, it shows up different sensors based on the year. I tried with all options, but none work. The screenshot of the process is here: https://imgur.com/a/1nZzrz8
Is the range not enough on the TP150? Any other suggestions?

I am a bit confused, it says programmed, but then it also says its blank.

In one of the previous posts I let you know that was the wrong sensor. Also to use that type of sensor you need a scan tool that has the program to set that brand up for the vehicle. It will work on previous years but not the 13’ -18’

Not really specific to the sensors but I have to throw this out there…be very careful taking your car to Discount Tire. They are setup as a volume shop that are mostly young kids and not really designed to be working on cars for “enthusiasts”. I learned this the hard way on my RXL and I read found a very reputable high end wheel and tire shop for all my wheel/tire/TPMS needs. And it says it right there in the name…”discount”. Just my experience for those that are over protective of who touches their cars like I am.

100% agreed. My GS would never go to a discount tire. They prioritize speed and price above everything. It's going to cost way more at a specialty wheel and tire shop but totally worth the cost in my opinion.

What are the brand of the sensors? Did you push the wifi looking button when you have the scan tool next to the tire?

I've been going to Discount Tire for better than forty years now. I build relationships with the local store managers in the cities where I reside. I also watch the work being done and establish rapport with the technician. One of my requests is no air tools on my lug nuts. I am very pleased with my experiences at Discount Tire. And - YES - I am an enthusiast and have been one since I first laid eyes on the brand-new 1946 Ford👍🏻

Edit - Just to add, I have gotten TPMS sensors from Discount Tire, first on my ISF, and one for my LC when I had a catastrophic flat, and they worked perfectly.

Lou
