Default Shakes at highway speeds.

Hey guys, I'm a new owner of a 2016 GSF, 81k miles. When I bought the car the dealer installed some Advanta HPZ 02 tires which so far I'm not a fan of. When I reach higher speeds, like 80 plus, I get alot of shake from the car. Even higher at 90 plus the whole dash starts shaking and rattling about. Im posting to request some theories on this. Is it the cheap tires? Could it be warped caliper? Something else in the suspension? Bushings? Need a place to start so I don't end up rebuilding the entire front end.

I would say it is the tires. Put some Michelin PS4S on and make sure they are balanced. I doubt it is brake or suspension related.

Get the tires balanced. If it still shakes, get better tires.

If it was warped rotors, it would be shaking while you brake.

Yup, I would point my finger at the tires.

Tires, and while the wheels are on the balancing machine, check for out of true/out of round. Bent wheels will do all kinds of weird things.

I would suggest a road force balance, it will tell you if the rim is bent, if the tire is damaged beyond balancing, etc.

This. Some places don’t do road force balancing. A lot of variables also but my old GS350 was out of balance and my experience was similar. Lots of variables though, did you ever figure out the cause of the issue?
