‘16 gsf
Hello GSF crew…I currently drive a ‘13 LS F sport & im on the cusp of getting a GSF.
There’s a ‘16 white w/ red interior that just rolled into my local Toyota dealership & I’m waiting for them to service the car so I can test drive & inspect it.
Does anyone possibly know of a previous CL member who purchased the car from Superstition Springs Lexus in AZ?
It was purchased there in ‘17 & exclusively serviced there until late ‘20.
2nd owner purchased from Toyota Peoria & had it serviced there for the next couple of years until it was sold to a dealership in LA.
Just seeing if I can get some info on any issues they had during ownership.
TIA

I assume you've done your due diligence buy checking the Lexus drivers site for maintenance history ( https://www.lexus.com/My-Lexus ) by the information noted in your post. If not, go there and input the VIN for maintenance history. If the history shows the brakes or tires replaced early on in life that would be a big red flag for me.
I must have looked at 20 examples in person before pulling the trigger, specifically looked at big ticket items such as brake pad life remaining, tires, carbon front lip and interior carbon bits condition. The interior on these cars don't wear well for some reason, I've seen some that were pretty trashed even with reasonable low mileage.
Don't know of the car personally but I feel like I'm the only GS-F owner in the Coachella Valley, best of luck with your search !

I'm going to inspect the interior in the next couple days when the sales manager calls me. If there isn't any interior CF trim issues w/ the car, i would assume i'm out of the woods, as it's already been exposed to PHX summer temps!
You're a CV local?
Let me see what I can do to grown the GSF population by 100% in the desert!
You could call the dealerships but you may not get any more detail than what is on Lexus.com. FWIW, the Superstition Springs Lexus dealership is one of the best out West at knowledge and service of GSFs. That would make me feel confident knowing for half its life those folks were caring for it. Wrote a long post with my experience recently purchasing my GSF that had blown suspension from Carvana and multiple dealerships I spoke with. Ultimately, the ones who had the most experience and solved my problem was Superstition Springs.
Sounds like you are on it with checking out the CF trim and imaginthat's mention of big ticket items. Since the cars are rare, you may look into the service done while at Toyota to make sure they properly serviced the GSF. Rotors being resurfaced is something I saw on lots of service records which you are not supposed to do for this car. If that has been done, you will be looking at rotor replacement some 15k miles after being resurfaced and depending if you have the dealer do it vs do it yourself could be $2k to replace.
Best of luck! With all the Lexus/Toyota service it could be very well cared for!

@Fis4Forty I’m at dealership now, & turns out the 3rd owner was a 15 yr Lexus tech & now a Yota tech who sold the GsF to the dealership. He still works at the dealership.
I was able to speak with him & he assured me the car was well taken care of & he had zero issues.
For peace of mind, I got 3 year/36K extended comprehensive warranty. $55,420 out the door.
I have to figure out what to do w/ my LS now.

@XF40FSPORT - congrats ! Great peace of mind knowing it was owned by a tech and the extended warranty to boot.

I almost bought a CPO grey one from IN, turn out both previous owners are member here. Talking to him why the car was traded in, he said simply because family is growing and need something more practical to drive daily.
When I shop for an F, also seen MK4 Supra owner also owning a F car.
