Question on nav and phone interface
So I have a 2014 gs with the nav package. I have a few questions. 1st. When I long press my voice command I expect siri to come up from my iPhone based on what I have read but the nav system just tells me to short press. Am I missing a setting somewhere? 2nd. I can't find a setting that displays my incoming messages on the display? Help plz... 3rd. When my phone rings nothing displays on the nav side . The number displays on the right hand side but no name from my contacts. Here I am sure I must be missing a setting?
iPhone x btw...
thanks!

Siri Eyes Free is commanded by a long press and hold of the "Off Hook" button.
This will work at the speed of Siri so be patient...wait for the trill and you can say
"text John Smith mobile" or "respond text" if you just received a text. Siri will ask
what you want to say and then repeat it to you.
Phone settings to hear and show texts are Settings / Bluetooth / Lexus Handsfree /
small blue "i" / Notifications On. Note: you will hear the trill and see the message
frame but will only see the text if stopped. While moving you will hear the message
read to you and can repeat it but will not see actual text on screen unless you stop.
Be sure to cycle your phone fully off, cold, dark once a week or so. Phone will work
for months without cycling but will work much better with other devices including
your GS if you reboot the phone.
Contact display is puzzling, do you have emojis as part of the phone contact names?
Might you have a corporate phone that blocks display transfers? Does your phone
respond to verbal dialing commands, press steering wheel "Talk/Speech" button and
say "Call name in phone mobile"

One issue I noticed: If you have siri disabled when the phone is locked, it applies to eyes free as well, and the car gets very confused after it fails once.
In my case, must always make sure the phone is unlocked before invoking.

Ok. May have fixed telephone number name issue by displaying incoming call om screen. However. I dont have the notification setting on blue tooth setting of infotainment system. Also Siri does not respond. Is there perhaps something that needs to be enabled by the dealer on the infotainment system?

I have another question btw. How do I set the doors to lock after I drive off? Cant seem to find a setting anywhere for that?
Thanks!
ps: I cant download Enform in south africa. seems to be a regional block on it. Could that be the reason for me not having all the display details want?

You need TechSteam or Carista or the dealer to change the door lock settings.
Here is the list of things that can be customized.

Techstream is harder: need a dongle and the software is tricky.
Carista is easier if you only want to make changes and be done with it.

I just realised something as well.. When starting the car/booting the infotainment it does not say "Enform" like I have seen on some videos. Could the issue perhaps be that the infotainment system is not updated to the latest version?
thanks
