Exclamation If you made a pass at the track Share your experience

So I plan to run down the track just for the fun.And.want to know what would I be looking at 14 or 15 secs in the quarter mile? Or higher than that. I am going to dyno my car in Long Island after I do my exhaust, midpipe, and custom intake. As of now I only have the HPS pipe but want more power. The plan is If it’s 3 passes am going to run 2 sport mode and 1 normal with trac off and tire pressure set to 30 or 28? is that a good approach. I will not be manually shifting because our cars don’t have rev matching and don’t want to beat on the trans really hard. Now should I launch from the line at 2000 rpm or just from the dig just floor it? I won’t be dynoing the car anymore.

You can put it in any mode you wish and launch in M1, and then just let it shift automatically. The mode won't make any difference at WOT, and the transmission will upshift without your involvement.

Lol.

The 450h is a touch different but the actually velocity feel and pull is pretty dang steady and determined. The rpm set on the 450h makes it sound like it's behind but it's not.

I drove and rode in a few 350s bot Fs and not. I couldn't really detect a slug gear issue.

I was in d and I drive in economy mode... most of the time not sure if it has anything to do with it.

Low end torque in this car is abysmal. That's what you were feeling.

What is the difference launching in M1 vs D?

No difference at all if you launch at WOT and remain at WOT through the upshifts, and through the trap. The GS 350 doesn't have enough juice to lose traction during launch at WOT on a properly prepped (sticky) track, so jack-it-up on the line all you can...

The throttle response in ECO mode is pretty much garbage, that's part of it... its designed to save gas, not go fast. Put that sucker in normal or better and stomp on it. (although, if you're going WOT, there shouldn't be any diff between ECO anyways, but practical limitations apply).
