I would do 1 light coat and wait 5 min, then I would go back and apply more layers every 2-3 minutes. Remember that if youre doing the front bumper, to apply numerous coats to the inside only, away from the blue taped edges. Only when youve given the center about 10 light coats, go and hit the edges 3-4 times then peel tape while still wet.
