Exclamation

Some putz in the parking lot tried to pull to far forward and gave me a real nice scratch, smack dab in the center of my rear bumper. The plastic is scratched and even stickin out a little bit. I was so pissed.

Any idea of anthing I can do to make it look better? It's not like a metal piece that I can paint or buff out...

Thumbs up

My suggestions are as follows:

1) Find a decal or sticker you like of appropriate size and place over the scratch.

2. Have a pro touch up ( but it wouldn't be perfect)

3. Repaint bumper: several hundred to do it right but only repair that truly works.

Good Luck

Thumbs up i will take choice #3

if the plastic is protruding out quite a bit, you might even need new bumper.

and i will take dzman's #3 suggestion. otherwise, it will always be an eye sore.

There is a company called Dent Pro that has franchises in different states. I used the one in Northern California to have my front bumper repaired after it was bumped in a parking lot. They did a great job with the deep scratches and paint match.

Default gs400jon...Dentpro?

Dentpro...? I've used them with good results for paintless ding repair--I didn't know they also did painting and filling. Thanks for the tip! I also live in NorCal. Which Dentpro did you use for your bumper and how much did they charge?

The Dent Pro I used is located in San Jose. They are located just off highway 287. The phone number is 408-267-8506. They also have an 800-774-2121 toll free number. The repairs on my front bumper cost $350. The scratches were above and below the center chrome trim. The bumper was not bent and the scratches covered an area about the size of a softball.
