Remote start replacement
My remote start stopped working with Lexus dropping support for 3G I think it was. Did a search here and did not find much but would think there has been a discussion. Which after market options are people installing? I looked at Best Buy and there is a relatively inexpensive solution from Viper, the DS4VB installed for $319 that gets good reviews. I called the dealer and they recommended a local shop who quoted over $700. I did not inquire as to the brand deciding to do some shopping and researching. Appreciate comments or links to existing threads. I have a 2016 GS 350 (not Sport, not F) with everything except the heads up.

^^This one- works great in my '17. Had to do the install with one call to customer support. Plug and play, but a little challenge only because it's scary to remove any dash parts until you've done it once....

Standard kit with APP module shows "in stock". I made it all the way to check out with a promo code also. The only "out of stock" shows to be the long range fob (middle) option.

I find that I need to be either line of sight or within key fob range to start.
Ideally would prefer if it was an app that I can start/activate without those conditions to provide longer range with 1 touch sequence.
Mine is factory installed using the key fob with the key sequence 3 pushes and hold to start.
