Another vote for 12v solutions here. Used on both GS350 and GSF

Is there any parasitic draw from the 12 Volt Solutions remote start? I drive my car about once a week.

It didn't work on my GS450h but I heard it works great on multiple gas models.
I think they are similar. It just comes down to what remote start system they use. I know MPC uses the Fortin modules.

Yeah I couldn't get MPC to work on my 450h either, so ended up going with 12voltsolutions.

Installed 12 volt solutions plug and play, less than an hour, works great.

The MPC did not work on my 2017 Fsport. I did everything they asked, sent it back to exchange for a different module.... nothing. Returned for a refund. I purchased and installed the 12 volt solutions and it worked first time. The 12 volt solutions was easier to install (IMO), uses the factory key FOB and has an available long range module that allows you to use an app and your cell phone to start the car.

Another good one I saw was DRONE MOBILE..... ( that's the name of website too). It's got a pretty slick phone app that even shows things like internal car temperature, battery voltage, etc
It is of course subscription based like many others. A long time friend of mine installs them and showed me on his truck... very nice.

Another vote for 12voltsolutions. I rarely use the key fob to remote start its but the App using 4G is superior in functionality and speed to the OEM App before it was sunset. If you use an iPhone and have an Apple Watch, there is a companion app for the watch with the same functionality as the phone app. I had a bit of a hiccup getting mine working but their support was quick to respond and got me fixed up on hte first exchange. My car is a 2017 that was saddled with the 3G modem.

+1 for 12volt solutions. Pair it with their app module and it’s the best ever.

Question for those that have remote start, more for curiousity sake. Do you have to rentable anything in tech stream? I know there some remote start option in there, and wonder if it's needed to be enabled in order to use one of these aftermarket systems.

I have the MPC module. After about 6 months the app remote start was hit and miss. The door lock/unlock always worked until last month. Now the only thing the app is good for is checking location, seeing if my doors are locked and battery voltage.

+1 for MPC solutions. Been using it for approx 6m on my 2018 GS350 F wth no problems. Only used the key fob option and no problems at all so far.

Default Mpc

I got MPC with the phone option and installed it in about 4 hours last September.

It's worked flawlessly for me since the installation. Uses the factory keys to remote start if you want to go that way. 99% of the time I use my phone.

I just ordered a 12volt solutions package. They have an Easter sale with 15% off. It is still very expensive.

oh wow definitely pretty expensive.
$480 original price , $71 off for Easter so now it’s $408. $434 with tax in California then $40 every year after for the cell service. Sale ends April 14
