Default Tire suggestions

I have a 2014 GS350 FSport AWD. Currently running Michelin primacy mxm4 235/40r19 96v tire on factory FSport wheels. Only tire I've used since vehicle purchase a few years ago. I'm needing new tires and looking for suggestions. I live in Houston.

Have a set of Yokohama Advan Sport A/S on a 2013 and love them. They're quiet (quieter than the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+), ride comfy, and handle well in dry and rain. Bit cheaper than the Michelins too.

You will see that the top two tire brands recommended on this form are Michelin and continental. I opted for the continental as I wanted the smoother ride at the sacrifice of a softer sidewall compared to the Michelin’s.

Many folks on this forum including myself swear by Pirelli Cinturato P7's.
Currently on my 2013 GS AWD and wearing well after 25K mi on them.

I had the mxm4 on my gs350 initially. Then went with Michelin pilot all season 4 . Such a huge difference in the stability of the car and even more pronounced in rain and light snow.
I then ran them on the GSF.
highly recommended.

if you go with continental then go with DWS06 plus

/\ This is the newest and latest greatest. I have had all mention here so far. These are the best, and are exactly what he said. I have the Advan on my GS in 19's right now.

Michelins are nice but they are very expensive, and they wear extra fast. The Conti's are a terrible one for the GS, they roar and hum and are a jolting ride. The Advan does it all, and handles better than the rest. Quite and smooth riding, long wear, and a great price. Yokohama can make some great tires in certain lines.

I vote for the Pirelli Cinturato P7 AS Plus 3 tires. Honorable mention to my current Dunlop HP Signature All Season tires.

I have the Pirelli AS Plus 3 on my 2016 and after apporx 7,500 miles I would highly recommend them, very satisfied. Much better than the oem Michelin primacy mxm4 tires that they replaced.

Had the P7 A/S plus 2 and New Plus 3 on 3 cars we have, including my old ES350 = 4. The The P7 is very good, I loved them but, the Yokohama Advan A/S+ is even better. It's vey much like the P7 but believe it or not, but it's even more quite and comfortable, and it just handles way better.

Seems anything not too cheap works great. I personally just put all new Michelin PS AS4s all around, and they work EXCELLENT in the rain, and even let you have some fun when dry.

On a side note, I've seen some talk of the GS eating tires in 15k miles, is that F-Sport models only? I have a 2013 AWD Premium with the stock 18's on it.

If you drive hard yeah I can see that. Th fsport has a staggered setup so you can't rotate and most of these tires are directional anyhow so you cannot rotate them regardless. Plus the fsport rear suspension has a bit of camber so the inside of the tire wears much faster. I usually get about 30k out of my tires and then I don't feel they are safe to drive on in the rear.

RIP my wallet.
