Seems to be. I'll take some pictures and make a video.

Well turns out my driver side wiper is toast. This past week it snowed one last time before the weather turned and the wiper just decided to give up on life. Only my passenger side is working.

I took off the driver side wiper arm and the grooves where it attaches onto the wiper spindle is completely smooth. The spindle itself looks ok, there was a lot of shaved metal on it. I ordered a new wiper arm hoping this might fix some of my issues I was having. Might replace the passenger side too for good measure.

Welp. Things keep getting weirder.

So I replaced the driver side wiper arm, that was done in minutes. After trying it out the wiper goes the right spot and also when in winter mode. However, it's not perfect. When in high the wiper still smacks the A pillar and when the windshield gets too try, the wiper doesn't go all the way up. This leads me to believe the linkage is loose and causing the over and under shooting of where the wipers should be stopping. Looks like I'll be getting new linkages.

My recommendation to you guys is don't play with the Summer/Winter mode wiper crap too much. I used to pull them up to wash my car so I could wash under my wipers easier, but I guess I'm not gonna be doing that anymore. I think from now on I'll just turn my wipers on and cut power when they are up and clean under as needed.

Anyone know how to remove the wiper linkage? I can't seem to figure out how to remove the cover on top to get to the linkage.

I'm guessing your linkage is stuffed. I hope so, it's cheap, the motor is what's expensive.

@Cwang OMG MAN Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Yeah I think my linkage is shot. I copped another one off ebay for 70 bucks. Not bad. I found some junkyard had some too for 35, but they never got back to me. Far as I can tell it came with the motor, but I can always transfer mine if needed.

Thanks for the docs!

Ok so turns out the solution was very simple and right in my face literally. My wipers were so loose on the arm that they shifted sideways about 1.5 - 2 inches almost. When I pulled up the wipers to replace the arm I noticed how the wiper blade was wobbling all over. Replaced the wipers, problem solved, wipers no longer slap the a pillar. All good now.

That was what I was getting at. There are markings and specs for the resting position and the upper position. If they are out, then adjust and tighten the nut.

I think you are misunderstanding. The arm that attaches to the wiper motor spindle itself was fine, but the wiper blade/frame was wobbling where it clipped onto the arm on the u shaped hook. That's what was loose and wobbling.
