Yeah that’s weird. I would contact grom on Instagram or give them a call and they should help you

Yes, the button connects by Bluetooth directly to phone but it shouldn't matter if the phone is connected to the car.

I had to sideload an older version of Netflix (check out apkmirror.com), but it works fine and have been using that version for more than 2 years without any issue.

I don't remember the one I installed but just keep trying them until you find one that works.

Hi,
not exact topic ,
but anybody knows how to reset the VLine car play from the menu,
the unit froze an I had to disconnect the cable in the back to reset it,
got a be a better way.....

Not really another way. Just make sure your software and firmware are both up to date. I haven't had to hard reset mine like that in nearly a year, and it has been very stable. Even still it is recommended to install it somewhere with somewhat easy access as the unit may need to be reset occasionally. Unplugging it is the only way to do so when it's completely frozen like that.

also been recommended to disconnect system Bluetooth and just keep VLINE2 bluetooth,
so far 4 days with no issues

Yes, absolutely. Unpairing my phone from the stock Bluetooth system fixed many issues.
