Is there any way to prevent text notifications from popping up?
I haven't purchased a VL2 yet although if I can't resolve this issue, I may be buying one sooner than I had planned.
I'm connecting my android phone via bluetooth to my 2017 GS F's ML audio system. Every time I get a text, the notification sound dings and a message pops up on my screen.
It can get super annoying especially if I'm in the middle of a great song podcast. With Android Auto, there's an "ignore conversation" button you can press that will prevent the phone from alerting and that worked great. But of course, we don't have AA stock.
I've tried turning the volume setting to 0 on my "Ring & Notification Volume" setting on my phone, but the car still alerts me.
Is there a way to prevent the notification from interrupting the currently playing audio?
thanks in advance

Go through the menus, there is 100% an option to disable this feature. You can even customize it so it is sound only, no pop-up or readout, or you can set it to do both. I just have it on a sound personally so I know I received a text, but I don't get a pop-up or a readout, and the sound plays right over the connected bluetooth without interrupting the audio.
If you have an iphone you can select on the phone itself to turn off notification to connected bluetooth device (your lexus) by clicking the little i next to the name of your vehicle in the bluetooth setting.
