Default Windshield replacement - function check afterwards

I'm getting the windshield replaced on my 2016 GS350. Afterwards I want to verify everything still works. What features and their components are in the windshield? I have the premium and cold weather package, auto rain wipers, auto highbeams, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, blindspot monitoring, pre-crash collision, radar cruise control and the heated wiper element at the bottom of the windshield (how do I engage that heating element btw?). Thanks

There should be a button for that on the climate control area, at least that's were it was on the CT model. If not, check under the driver side vent on the blank buttons area or the climate control page on the nav system.

They must recalibrate the radar cruise. Certain shops do it, others require it to go back to Lexus or another shop.

On the GS, the only way to turn on the wiper defrosters is through the climate page on the display. Very annoying, but there is no hard switch for this function.

I'm getting a new windscreen on Monday.
The radar cruise is behind the front badge, but the lane keep(if fitted), rain sensor and humidity sensors are on the windscreen.

Good catch. It's the ADAS Camera that they recalibrate. I just looked back at my receipts.

Thanks all. So far it sounds like features encompassed within windshield components include:
  1. lane keep assist/lane departure warning
  2. rain sensing wipers
  3. humidity sensors (what is this?)
  4. wiper defrosters (I can confirm this is engaged through the climate control panel in the nav, at least in my 2016)
  5. Rearview mirror: dimming & garage door opener

What about auto high beams?

😯 I have owned my GS350 for 5 years and I didnt even know I had wiper defrosters. Well, now I do. Haha.

But yeah, that function is kind of hiding in the Climate menu. Finally found it though.
