Default Annoying Rattle

Was wondering if anyone else has this same noise/rattle and what they did to resolve it see below for video link note volume has to be turned up. I've been dealing with it since I got the car 2 years ago (2015 GS350 AWD) but now it seems to be getting worse.

Thanks,

Matthew

Yikes, that can be a lot of things. You have the camera pointed at the dash, but with my headphones, it sounds like it's coming from the center console or passenger side? There are many threads where people have these rattles, but this one is really bad. Are you able to get a better idea on where it maybe coming from?

My rattle was from the sunroof seal needing replacement.

Try opening the sunroof when you hear the rattle. When the sunroof is open, it doesn't rattle (if the sunroof seal is the issue).

My GS also had a little wind noise from the sunroof when closed. With the new seal installed, no rattles or wind noise.

The part number for the seal was posted here and it took about 30 minutes to install and adjust.

I would say a shop would charge 1- hour labor.

It has 4 bolts/screws to remove the sunroof. The original seal peels off and after a little wipe down with a wet cloth, the new one goes on easily.

I've had a similar, infrequent rattle/buzz like that that has come from different locations. One I can pinpoint comes from the overhead moonroof control and light area. If I push against it the buzz goes away. I've noticed a similar noise that does not go away when I push against it. Your noise sounds louder than the one I experienced though.

I also intermittently get a buzz from what sounds like the passenger B pillar near the seat belt.

I also had metalic rattle that came and went for years and I finally determined it was a loose bolt under the passenger side dash speaker grill. I had to pry off the grill and was able to tighten the nut. Your noise doesn't quiet sound like the one I heard though for that.

2016 GS 350
When I bought my car last year the company that checked out the vehicle before purchase noted that same noise. I bought it anyway, the next day all I could hear was the noise. took it to Lexus and had a tech drive with me. as soon as we pulled off the noise stopped.SMH.
The noise hasn't returned...

edit: the noise only happened when I accelerated

I had something like that. It was right speaker in the dash. One of the washers (bolt wasn't tightened)

General tip: If you could, maybe get someone to drive and when it starts making the noise, start applying pressure to various interior bits of the car.

To address your rattle, i had something similar and it turned out to be the plastic piece in my driver's footwell. I applied some upward pressure on the piece and the noise disappeared confirming that it was the noise.

Good luck.
