Looks like it would make it difficult to use the mouse. I would pass.

Pros:
  • Looks sturdy.
  • No drilling makes installation easy.

Cons:
  • Bad placement, I actually do use that handrest for resting my hand.
  • Bulky.
  • Set dimension - looks like airlift controller would slip off. A bigger or smaller phone will not fit, defeating the purpose of this product.
  • $200 for a phone holder...

I'll also pass.

Looks like it will make it more uncomfortable to use navigation controls.

I would pass as well for the reasons above along with a charger of that price should be wireless charging. Especially with the placement so close to a power source.

I like the idea that its integrated but it is a bit pricey. After watching the instruction vid, it replaces the existing hand/arm rest entirely (see 58sec mark of vid):

Save your money. This is the best $10 I've spent.

I don't like the phone blocking my Vents and/or getting Cold/Hot Air. The $200 one look to be a PITA with the controls and Mouse in front.

This has been posted here before but I plan on getting this one. Maybe?

It is beautiful and looks elegant. If it works for you and the cost is not an issue, enjoy it. If it was gifted to me, I would gladly accept.

The only problem I have is the air flow from the vents. My phone will get cold in summer and hot in winter, so the phone holder that goes into the vents do not work for me. The height is perfect put placement is off.

Shapeways for the win. I have mine since Oct 2018, almost 2 1/2 years, no problems, still going strong. The Vava phone mount is stuck to the Shapeways mount with the original 3M adhesive it came with, nothing special was used.

This is the exact set up I have added to my 2017. I like it very much as well.

Have you noticed the black starting to fade? I noticed mine has started to fade to a gray. I might paint it if I'm bored. I didn't notice it until I pulled it out cause someone asked to look at it.

BTW, I don't think the premium is worth it. I get asked about it a lot. I have the regular texture one myself.

This gap circled below in red would drive me nutz, also the rough gray unfinished looking material.
