Default Tire Advice?

My 2015 Gs 350 F needs new tires. I’m looking for the quietest all weather tires for Chicago driving conditions witch is hot, cold, snowy

and unpredictable.

I think I’ve narrowed it down to:

Michelin prime mxm 4 XL

Continental extreme contact DWS 06

Bridgestone QuietTrack

Any advice is appreciated.

The DWS06 weren't noisy but they weren't particular quiet for me either. Some people report that as it wears down it gets noisier too.

I heard the P7's are very quiet though.

I can’t say enough great things about Pirelli Cinturato P7 AS. Fantastic, comfortable, quiet all season touring tires. I think they came out with the new P7 plus.

100% agree with this - best tire out there for all-season driving. Put a set on my 2017 and it was night and day from the factory set. I'll put them on again in a heart beat.

Another vote for the Pirelli P7 All Season Plus II - for a sportier feel with a nice balance of grip and comfort honorable mention goes to the Dunlop Signature HP (not as cushy as the Pirelli's but a touch more fun in the curves). Both tires perform well in all conditions.

I recently changed out the stock tires and went up a size to 245/275’s and got Continental DWS06’s and absolutely no complaints.

I recently put Toyo Proxes on my F Sport. Didn’t want to spend a lot, and there didn’t seem to be many options for the staggered set up. They’ve been great, and were well priced at Firestone.

Another vote for these as well. I only replaced my front tires and finally went with the P7's. Absolutely better driving experience. I replaced TOYO Proxes

A good tire, but finally replaced mine with P7's. I actually didn't realize they are rated as 'ultra performance' and while they did/do handle great, they really hated potholes (which I get a lot) and didn't seem to last as long as I hoped. Only replaced the front, so actually still have the Toyo's in the back.

For those that do not know. The Pirelli P7 All Season Plus II has a 70K Treadwear Rating. As opposed to the others being 40-50k only.

Definitely didn't realize that. I was lucky to get 20k on the Toyo's, though not sure I ever changed a tire for tread, it was always potholes, screws, and punctures.

I've put just over 30k on my car and replaced single tires... 5 times I think. Then replaced both front couple months ago with the P7's

I've always had DWS on my vehicles and they have never let me down. I live in the Midwest so I i'm all about snow performance. Only drawback is they are softer than any summer tire however Continental just updated the DWS-06 to DWS-06+ last month. Also, on average I lose 2-3 MPG on fuel economy. I guess the tread pattern has something to do with that

I'm in the same boat looking for tires. I don't want to spend a fortune and would like to get 4-5 years out of them (I average about 7k miles a year). I am leaning towards Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ as I am driving on Michelins now but they are nearing their lifespan. Anyone have any experience with them?

Default Pirelli P7 looks good but.....

The snow rating for the Pirelli doesn’t look so good. I appreciate all the advice and time everyone took to respond. I’m still stuck...Lexus dealer recommended the Michelin’s. I think the Continental looks great for all season driving, cost and warranty.

Michelin Primacy Tour A/S is an updated version of the Primacy MXM4 that promises better Snow Traction, MPG, and Quieter Ride.
Tried to get them back in Dec but they were backordered at all West Coast warehouses.

I will only buy Michelins for my GS. Next up will be the PS4S.

Too bad my GS came with crappy Bridgestones. Flat magnet and okay handling in dry and sketchy in the rain. The Michs I had on my old GS can cruise at 90 MPH in heavy rain and u won't even know it.
