That's correct. It's not needed.

 

Thanks so much for the info. I completed the install successfully! You knew the product better than their tech support. I got the basic kit without the app. Tech support said I needed those connections (CAN2) . It works fine without them.

 

Connecting the 2 wires is basic but I guess it’s only needed if you use the app. I

 

Congrats on the install. I could never get it to work on my 17 F sport even after getting a replacement module from MPC.

 

did you have any problems with the initial setup? I’m currently doing it on my car and when I tried to program it it said “brake pedal error”
