Kids are 4-6. Getting to the trading off with parents hauling back and forth to things...need a three row. used $25-40,000.

Thoughts,suggestions?
Thanks

My kids are 5 and 8. We use the GS for family duty a lot but also have a Highlander as our third row vehicle. Good luck!

Came here to say Highlander or a minivan.

My wife has an RX 350 and we both really like it, but I don't find it to have massively more usable space than a 5 door sedan like the GS. The highlander and RX350L have a third row that can be folded down and provide more space.

Mine are almost 10 and 7, we have an MDX sitting there as we trade off driving the GS and the new to us BMW i3. It feels good not to pump gas, and pay 8 cents for every 4 miles of driving with AC on.
But if you really need space, minivan it. For some reason they hold value better than an SUV, well better than ours.

Owned a 2004 at the time brand new loaded Sienna Limited we had for 7 years and and 150k miles. It was so uncool but really a great family product to transplort all with lots of room and flex. This was back in the day there were not as many good unibody choices as there are today.
Our friends laughter at us. We’d pick them up and go to concerts, had the drop down LED screen and JBL “Surround”, Full leather, cup holders, etc.........They laughed. A year later the all had them!
Highlander is a Sienna with less room mechanically.
New Honda’s and Kia are quite handsome but I totally get if not your cup of tea. We had a lot of great family times in them!
New highlander looks pretty sweet. For runner is pretty butch if masculinity needs feeding. Wife drove the Sienna. I had BMW’s. Few years ago I bought her a mercedes SLK as her second car as a gift for her sacrifice for not being cool.
I’d go Acura MDX, RX 350L, or if ecologically disinterested a Tahoe, Denali, or Escalade.

Love our MDX Sport Hybrid. 3 rows of seats for 7 people, super comfy and quiet with great mpg. We average 27mpg daily driven. On long distance road trips we hit 39-40mpg easily. This from a big heavy SUV! Great driving dynamics too with SH-AWD. Doesn't cost an arm and leg like the German SUVs. It's not luxurious but Acura are not known for that.

I also have a V8 4runner to feed my 'butch' ego too 😅

if it must be cool, how about a Tahoe, Land Cruiser/LX, GX, Sequoia. Doesn't look like you have a toy hauler yet.

I got up getting a 2015 QX60 in 2018. I wanted a 2+3 with a third row +2 option as a versatile transport for kids and dogs.
I considered a Highlander with a second row bench, but it was almost impossible to find a decent feature combo.

Had a 2006 MDX before that, and the newer MDX shrank the rear door opening. Also drove a Pilot: it was roomy but had a rough ride.

After 1.5 years of QX60 ownership, I love it. It's ridiculously comfortable, plenty of room, and the 360 camera for parking is fabulous.
Can't believe what I got for $25k.
