Default Headlight troubleshooting help

Hi Everyone,

My passenger headlight winked out. Coincidentally it’s the headlight I replaced due to an accident 5 yrs and 80k miles ago.

Any commonly known root causes or troubleshooting tips? These headlights are expensive.

Thanks!

Hi All, to be more specific:

I’m wondering if I need to replace a bulb or the entire assembly. The DRLs work fine, does that mean just replace the HID bulb?

Should I replace both? Do new ones light brighter than older ones?

Thanks in advance!

Yes try a new hid bulb, new one will be brighter than the bulb that has been in service. Wear gloves while you install it to not put any oils onto the new bulb.
